How Can I Avoid Leaking Pipes in My Home?
One of the first things you should do is look into your water pressure. The “safe zone” is 30-50 psi for your water pressure. If your water pressure is exceeding 60 psi for for any length of time, then that may lead to a problem. If this is the case for you, give our trusted plumbing technicians at FAST of Florida a call. How Can I Check if I Do Have a Leak?
Find your water meter, view and record the level. Make sure nobody is using any water in your house for 1-2 hours. Then go back and note the level. If the level is different, then you likely have a leak. Definitely call FAST of Florida so we can solve that problem for you!
Is There Anything That Can't Be Put Down My Garbage Disposal?
Yes! In order to get the maximum life of your garbage disposal, these items shouldn’t be put through your garbage disposal:
- Potato skins
- Bone fragments and eggshells
- Banana peels
- Fats / grease
- Unpopped popcorn kernels
- Onion skins
- Fruit pits and seeds
- Stringy vegetables like asparagus and celery
What Do I Do If My Toilet Overflows?
If your toilet continues overflowing, then your problem may be that there is deterioration or a leak in your tank’s fill valve.
