Growing by Giving Great Service!
Meet simple or complex air conditioning and heating demands with quality equipment and care from FAST of Florida. Get the highest level of comfort with the lowest energy use!
FAST of Florida is Pinellas County’s largest Customer Care Dealer of American Standard air conditioners and offers a large variety of AC options.
Popular choices range from the 20-SEER, 2-stage Platinum ZM system, equipped with an AccuLink™ control board for HVAC automation, to the 13-SEER, efficient and reliable Silver SI model with an all-aluminum Spine Fin™ coil.
When buying an air conditioner, be sure to check the SEER ratings. The higher the rating, the more money you'll save when the unit is running.
For instance, a 13-SEER unit uses 23% less energy than a 10-SEER unit. 13 SEER is the minimum efficiency standard established by law.

Sometimes, when your HVAC system is running but you're still getting no air out of your vents, your air handler is to blame. In the Pinellas County area, there are three main types of heating and cooling systems. The kind of system you have determines where your air handler - the part that holds the fan and distributes heat and cold - is located.
With a split air conditioner and furnace, you have an outside air conditioning unit (probably sitting on the ground outside your home) and a furnace inside your attic, interior closet, or garage. The air handler is part of the furnace.
If you have a split heat pump, you don't have an interior furnace because your outside unit is responsible for both heating and cooling your home. However, there is still an air handler in your attic or closet that distributes the heated and cooled air throughout your ducts.
Finally, you may have a packaged (rooftop) air conditioning and heating unit, where the air handler is packaged with the outdoor unit and is all in one piece.
Whatever your situation, our NATE-certified technicians will diagnose and correct the problem the first time. Contact us now to set up an appointment.
Just like stop-and-go traffic makes your vehicle less fuel-efficient and puts more wear and tear on your engine, frequent on-and-off cycling in your standard air handler can ruin your system's efficiency and wear it out.
Consider replacing your standard unit with a new, variable-speed handler and you'll get both more efficient service and a longer-lasting unit. Interested? Get a FREE estimate and let us show you how a variable-speed air handler can benefit you.
Heat and cool only those rooms you are using with a ductless split system. You can keep your living room and bedrooms comfortable, for instance, while not wasting energy to maintain an unused guest bedroom!
In a ductless split system, wall units are mounted and easily wired to an outdoor unit. Because no ducts are involved, installation takes very little time, and you can install one unit for one problem area, or put them in every room in your home.
Both the indoor and outdoor units use an efficient, quiet, and powerful DC motor to run high-performance condensers and evaporators to heat and cool the room. The compressors adjust automatically to meet fluctuating room capacity requirements and are inverter driven to give you optimal performance.
Ductless split systems afford many benefits that make them perfect for our area. You have great control over individual rooms, which means you can keep the kitchen cooler than the rest of the house or maintain a more comfortable garage.
Because each unit has its own controls, you can care for difficult-to-maintain rooms, and achieve maximum comfort and efficiency with minimum energy costs.

No matter how clean you are, the air in your home is crowded with virus-sized particles, bacteria, allergens, dust, and other airborne contaminants. Fortunately, an AccuClean™ whole-home air filtration system can help improve the air's health.
Removes up to 99.98% of allergens from the filtered air
Catches particles down to .1 micron in size
Eight times more effective than the best HEPA room appliance
100 times more effective than a standard 1-inch throwaway filter or ionic-type room appliance
Delivers cleaner air and more of it
Reusable filter can be cleaned by vacuuming
HVAC air cleaners like AccuClean™ offer a range of benefits to you and your family, including reduced housework time, because your home will produce fewer dust particles.
Reduced dust also means your HVAC system will operate more efficiently and receive less wear and tear, and you'll save on energy bills because your system will not experience the same level of buildup from dust, dirt, pet dander, hair, and other contaminants.
A lot of times problems with your heating and cooling can be traced to your thermostat or a bad electrical connection between your thermostat and the HVAC system.
Get the thermostat that best fits your home, your budget, and your HVAC system. FAST of Florida can hook you up with a range of brands and models, from basic units to state-of-the-art smart thermostats that work with your smartphone.
Non-programmable thermostats – These are your basic thermostats, which you control manually. They don't have the ability to set schedules to help you save money.
Programmable thermostats – Programmable units allow you to set specific heating and cooling schedules so you can save money when you’re not home. In fact, Energy Star estimates that you could save $180 a year using a programmable thermostat.
Smart thermostats – These cutting-edge models take the programmable thermostat to the next level because you can control them with your phone, tablet, or computer. Many units have additional features, such as reminders to change your air filters and the ability to control your air quality products.
If you're looking to replace your air conditioner or furnace, consider a heat pump, which is like an air conditioner that can work in reverse. That is, it both pulls heat out of your home, making it much cooler, and then during the few weeks of winter we experience here in the Clearwater area, it takes heat from outside and puts it into your home.
More energy efficient – Heat pumps can be up to 400% more efficient than a standard HVAC system. For each unit of energy used, they move up to four units of heat.
Reliable – Years of experience have shown that a heat pump can last up to 10 to 15 years, which is as long as a good air conditioner.
Environmentally friendly – Unlike gas furnaces, heat pumps do not burn anything or directly release carbon emissions. They use only a small amount of electrical energy to move heat.
If you should need heat pump repair, our trained experts can diagnose and resolve the problem. Call 727-545-8731 to set up an appointment today!
